Terms and conditions for drivers

Last updated: October 1, 2026 · RumbiX Conductor app

This is a translation for convenience. The Spanish version prevails.
In short: you are independent and the passenger pays you directly. RumbiX charges you a 15% commission on each completed service, which adds up as a balance due in your Account statement. If your balance due reaches $8, you stop receiving new requests until you pay.

1. Who we are

RumbiX Venezuela is a technology platform operated by [LEGAL NAME IN PROGRESS], RIF (tax ID) [RIF IN PROGRESS], [COMMERCIAL REGISTRATION IN PROGRESS], with its address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS IN PROGRESS], Venezuela. Contact: [email protected].

By signing up, you accept these terms and the Privacy policy.

2. Relationship with RumbiX

You are an independent service provider: you are not an employee, partner or representative of RumbiX. You decide when to go online and which requests to accept, and you provide the service with your own vehicle, on your own account and under your own responsibility. RumbiX only gives you the tool to find passengers.

3. Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older and have a Venezuelan phone number.
  • Sign up with true information and a selfie taken at that moment.
  • Upload and keep valid: national ID card, a driver's license of the grade required for the vehicle (motorcycle: 2nd grade or higher; car and others: 3rd grade or higher), medical certificate, civil liability insurance policy (RCV), vehicle registration card and criminal record certificate. If the vehicle is not in your name: the owner's authorization and ID card.
  • Have your vehicle approved, in safe and clean condition.

No document is valid until the RumbiX team approves it. If a document expires or is missing, you won't be able to go online until you renew it. The app warns you before they expire.

4. How you get paid

  • The passenger pays you directly, in cash or by mobile payment to your account. You must have your mobile payment details set up.
  • When the passenger reports having paid you by mobile payment, confirm in the app whether it arrived. If it didn't, tap "It didn't arrive" ("No me llegó") and a dispute is opened for the RumbiX team to review.
  • Tips are yours in full, with no commission.
  • RumbiX does not receive or hold the money for rides and has no wallet or balance.

5. Commission

RumbiX charges a 15% commission on the price of each completed service (rides, deliveries and errands). The current percentage is always shown in the app. RumbiX may change it with prior notice; each service keeps the percentage that applied when it was requested.

Since the passenger pays you directly, the commission is added as a balance due in your Account statement. You pay it to RumbiX by mobile payment from the app, with the payment reference; our team verifies it.

6. Balance limit and blocking

  • The app warns you when your balance due is getting close to the limit.
  • If your balance due reaches $8, your account is partially blocked: you can sign in, see your Account statement and pay, but you don't receive new requests until you pay.
  • Once your payment is verified, you start receiving requests again.

7. Block list

If you owe commission and you delete your account, deregister, or RumbiX blocks you permanently, we keep your national ID number, license plate and phone number together with the amount owed on a block list. While the debt is pending, you won't be able to sign up again or register that vehicle. Once you pay, you can ask us to delete that data. Reaching the $8 limit by itself does not put you on this list.

8. "Invite and earn" program

If you invite another driver with your code and they meet the conditions shown in the app, the reward is deducted from your commission balance due; if you don't owe anything, it stays as credit for your next commissions. The reward is not paid in cash.

9. Location

While you are online, the app shares your location, including when the app is in the background (with a visible notification), to offer you nearby requests and show the passenger where you are coming from. When you go offline, it stops sharing it.

10. Conduct

It is forbidden to: drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs; insult, threaten, harass or discriminate; charge more than the price in the app; ask for payments outside what was agreed; use false documents or lend your account; let someone else drive for you; falsely report that you did not receive a payment; or manipulate rides or ratings. You can cancel a ride before picking up the passenger; once the passenger is on board, it cannot be canceled. Abusive cancellations or rejections and repeated false disputes may lead to the suspension or closure of the account.

11. Insurance, taxes and liability

You must keep your own policy valid: RumbiX is not an insurance company. You are responsible for your tax obligations on what you earn. If RumbiX asks for your tax details to issue invoices for the commission, you must provide them. To the extent permitted by law, RumbiX is not liable for accidents, damage, loss, fines or injuries that occur during the service.

12. Suspension and account deletion

RumbiX may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your documents are not up to date, or for safety reasons. You can delete your account whenever you want from the app, even if you owe commission (see Delete your account); the debt does not disappear when you delete the account.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; if a change is important, we will ask you to accept it again in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
